Coates 'The Iberian' tempranillo-touriga-syrah-monastrell 2021

At a tasting of fifteen or so wines at the winery, this Rioja taste-alike really stood out for me. Well put together by winemaker Duane Coates MW, this shows classy fruit from it's (mostly) Spanish & Portuguese blend of grapes, with medium-bodied tannins supporting the palate.

Versatile, friendly and interesting, this will reward company and always make you look good. Just what a friend is for, right?
