Inama 'Più...' carmenere 2021

Carmenere is an old Bordeaux variety that didn't take to grafting in the wake of phylloxera early last century. It died out in France, but for some reason - no one knows how or why - some took root in the Veneto, where small pockets remain to this day.

This wine is blended with a little merlot to flesh out the tannins, producing a firm, structured red with some plush red fruits around the middle, and a dash of black pepper. Malbec fans will probably love it, and while it's not quite Bordeaux,  you can see it from here.
