Apricus Hill 'Single Vineyard' chardonnay 2023

Not all great WA chardonnay comes from Margaret River!
This is made by Harewood Estate near Denmark in the vast Great Southern region, at the top of a sunlit ridge (Apricus is Latin for "bathed in sunshine").

This has firm acidity as you would expect from a cool climate area, but also some delicious golden apple fruit and and a touch of cashew oak. Real class at a moderate price.
