Produttori del Barbaresco 2017

Co-operative winemaking is hardly a byword for quality, but the remarkable Produttori of Barbaresco have consistently turned out top wines for decades now. And while hardly cheap, their prices compare favourably with other wines from Barolo and Barbaresco.

The somewhat overlooked 2017 vintage is early maturing, with this wine now showing lovely primary red fruit with some rosehip tea and pipe tobacco notes. You gotta have something to drink while you wait for the 2016's to come around, right?
