Villa le Corti 'Cortevecchia' sangiovese Riserva 2018

This excellent riserva - meaning extra ageing in both barrel and bottle before release - is drinking really well at the moment. The firm tannins it was born with have softened up, revealing some lovely dark cherry fruit. There's decent length on this wine too.

Ideal with meat based pasta sauces, bistecca, or anything grilled and savoury.
